The staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They have good knowledge on the area and make good recommendations for restaurants and activities. There were good options for breakfast and good facilities including a spa. The room was comfortable and modern with a good view and hot tub to enjoy. Thank you Felia, Nikoleta, Ilia and Stefanos for making us fell so welcome.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The staff are exceptional at making sure you are looked after and the setting is breathtaking. The view from our room was something else.
Very close to the centre of Pyrgos which is a great central spot for getting around the island.
Hotel restaurant was not busy, so we thought maybe the food wasn't that good... until we tried it one night and it was amazing. Better beef than one I had paid 4x the price for in another restaurant!
One suggestion would be to move the air conditioning off the central system so individuals can set their preferred temperature in their room
All in all a fabulous place to stay and I would go back in a heartbeat.

The property is stunning, clean lines, minimal aesthetic and wonderful location. The room was huge and the beds really comfortable.
The staff are incredible, and the food, specifically breakfast is amazing. It's included in the price, which is usually an indicator that you will get the same menu every day. Not here, every breakfast was a different variety of delicious local cuisine.
We booked the spa for an hour and had the Finnish sauna and plunge pools to ourselves.
We looked at many options but I'm really glad we chose this one.
Thanks everyone at Carpe Diem.

The place is in excellent location, within a cute village with beautiful views. Wonderful sunset view itself from the rooftop of the hotel!! Everything is new and just like on the pictures, I couldn’t get enough of the style and effortless elegance of this place. Breakfast of very good quality, healthy and super tasty. But most importantly though, Esra - the host, is so helpful and so nice! When we arrived, Esra gave us all the support we needed, and stayed available at all times. This place really was a highlight of our stay in Santorini!

Pirgos is a lovely village 10 mins from the airport....but you wouldn't know it was that close noise wise.
The village has quite a few restaurants so not short of choice. It also has a mini mart and a bakery and a really good pharmacy should you need one. So really quite the perfect place with all you could want.
There is a bus service so you can get into the main town Fira and from there to other places on the island fairly easily and cheaply.
All in all it a really excellent place to stay

We loved everything we did in Pyrgos.
We loved everything we did in Pyrgos. We were able to walk to the village and the winery. We also were able to rent a car and see the island!
Be open about needing to stop and figure out where you are. We walked 20K steps each day and sometimes backtracked because we don't read the local language. But the moments of looking lost allowed us to connect with other travelers who made great selections.
The trails were wonderful. The sunsets were spectacular. We visited a little off season, so there were no crowds.
I hadn't driven a manual transmission in 30 years, it took a minute to gain my confidence. If you plan to rent a car try to refresh the skills, steep hills is not the place to learn to use a clutch!
One of my favorite memories was an afternoon at Triana tavern. Enjoy!

Great restaurants, great bakery, amazing views of the sunset from the castle / Franco's Bar. The gyros cafe in the square served the best gyros I've had in Greece and it was very well priced.
Mataroa restaurant is genuinely fantastic - the octopus was amazing.

Absolutely stunning little village. Friendly locals and lots of restaurants. You can easily walk around and there are busstops to help you easily access the rest of santorini if you don’t want to pay for taxis.

A lovely town close to our hotel.
A lovely town close to our hotel. Less congested than Fira and more relaxed than Oia. We had lunch at one restaurant and dinner at another. Both experiences were excellent. Town has useful amenities like petrol, pharmacy and supermarket and great views down to the Caldera cliff tops.
From the moment we arrived at SMY we were taken care of. I was amazed and so happy with the service we received. We had our wedding in Santorini and half of our guests stayed at SMY. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful, the main pool and restaurant is great. The included breakfast has lots of options. The view is spectacular. We stayed in the room with private pool, it was clean and gorgeous. Thank you so much SMY for showing us an amazing time, it definitely helped alleviate wedding stresses! :)
The hotel is in the chasm of a mountain as is normal in Santorini (Pyrgos) and you have to know that to get to the hotel you have to walk up some typical streets of the island, but very steep worthy of a goat road.
There is a poor donkey (burrito) at your disposal that loads your luggage.
It is not suitable for people with heart problems or a little obese.
Rooms, they are spacious and fresh in the form of caves. Large bathrooms are poorly equipped as well.
This hotel has opened a couple of months ago and is really gorgeous. The small village of Pyrgos is beautiful and has some really nice restaurants. Close to both the port and the airport.
The rooms are spacious and we had a room with a nice terrace with a private plunge pool, which was amazing. Also the view from the room and the pool was stunning.
I believe the beds are from coco-mat, so sleeping here is no problem and the breakfast was great.
Booked a one night stay here. Wanted a cheap hotel not too far from the port for an early morning ferry. This met the criteria perfectly. Short walk into the village in the evening and a fabulous restaurant.
Nothing was fancy but everything was adequate. This is not a luxury hotel and I would have wanted to spend my holiday there but it served the purpose and on a very very expensive island it was good value for money.
The room with private pool had unbelievable views and felt very private. Perfect to celebrate our anniversary and my wife's birthday. The service was fantastic and all of the staff made sure we had the best time. I can only sing their praises. The restaurant doesn't have a huge selection but what it does do, is done extremely well as the food is amazing.
We were so sad to leave this hotel but will definitely be back.
Top luxury hotel located high up in Pyrgos. Highlights:
- Landscaping is top notch with beautiful lavender bushes.
- Wonderful architecture with liberal use of infinity pools, both for usage and landscaping.
- Room is huge with very strong water pressure.
- Firm pillows offered strong neck support.
- Spectacular views of Santorini both from room and property.
- Shortcut hike to Pyrgos.
The Rita suite with the jacozzi was very nice o like how it’s was designed like a cave very clean property the break fast was very delicious and freshly made the owner of the hotel Christopher and lovely lady with him were very nice and lovely people the view was amazing and you can see the sunset from the jacozzi we hopefully back in the future to see these lovely people again
The hotel offers a unique view over the entire island - whether at breakfast or from the villa. The check-in was the most uncomplicated and fastest ever. Breakfast is freshly prepared and you can spend the whole day in the lounge and try the numerous drinks and snacks free of charge.
All in all, it was the best hotel experience we have ever had!
stylish hotel, great pool and communal areas, nice rooms, clean, really friendly and attentive staff enhanced the enjoyment of our stay. special mention for Steve at the bar / breakfast he is excellent and a real credit to the hotel. location is good for walking into Pyrgos or a quick 5-10 minute drive to the vineyards and southern beaches
Incredible hotel. The room was so beautiful, there was a patio with a jacuzzi, two showers, and just extremely peaceful. This was luxury at its best. The hosts were just SO nice. They went out of their way to arrange things, book a car, and were always smiling and friendly. Felt at home and just enjoyed Santorini. Beautiful.
Made a reservation and not even an hour later realized that our ferry is leaving at 1 am that night. Tried to cancel right away, but the owners are so greedy that not even an hour later they wouldn’t refund. Disney World of Mediterranean, where they milk you for every cent you got! Never even saw this hotel
It was lovely for the 2 off us, cute- cosy except at night when the temperature dropped. It was equipped with everything you would need for a short break and it's located in the heart of pyrgos. But to get here in a taxi from the airport €36 and ferry port €40 Loocal travel by bus is €2
Nice neighborhood, clean room, nice food comes to your room daily based on your choice, very small private pool, helpful staff (arranged car rental, taxi to port, things to do in Santorini), free parking to the hotel
Absolutely everything about Valsamo Suites was excellent. The hotel is super conveniently located, ultra cute, spacious, and clean. The staff was so courteous and friendly.
Everything! This hotel is stunning. The staff are amazing and so attentive. Food was delicious and view is beautiful. You won’t regret your stay here. Just wonderful.
Asmina @ reception and Maria restaurant manager are super friendly and so assistive they were exceptionally a reason for me to revisit the hotel again next time.
