Palanga is Lithuania’s busiest seaside resort and is located on the Baltic Sea. However, it comes with a seasonal personality due to it being a peaceful paradise during winter before transforming into a dynamic party town in summer.
The town offers great sightseeing around the quiet forested sand dunes of Birutė Hill, the stretch of sandy beaches and the Palangas Botanical Garden that features the old Tiškevičiai Palace, home to the Amber Museum.
Palanga is forever reforming; this is evident in the lively heart of the city Basanavičiaus gatvė, a pedestrian street with a mix of traditional wooden and red-brick houses and contemporary shops, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.
In summer be sure to check-out the list of events at the Open-Air Concert Hall, whilst Basanavičiaus gatvė Pier is a perfect starting point for a stroll or a cycle before seeing the sunset from the pier.
Booking.com offers a wide range of hotels and apartments in the heart of Palanga, Klaipėda, Šventoji and throughout Lithuania. Palanga Airport offers direct flights to Riga, Oslo, Moscow, and Copenhagen.

This was 4th or 5th time we have stayed at that place (Vila Saule). We like this location between Botanical Garden and Basanavičiaus (pedestrian) street, as it's very centered and takes just a few minutes to walk to the sea. The location is quiet and peaceful, but with all the nicest cafes and the most necessary shops right here. We have stayed in many different rooms (usually for 3 persons) on different occasions, and they were always super clean and had all the necessary equipment. The hosts are kind and helpful, so if you need any additional amenities, just ask them. Free parking is convenient. We look forward to coming here next year.

It's a very touristy, chic town with an amazing, miles long sand beach as well as an entertainment oriented city center.
If you're looking for a genuine picture of people living their live or want to connect with nature, this is not the town to visit.
But if you're looking to be entertained, party or relax on one of the nicest, cleanest beaches on the Baltic sea with all the amenities one could hope for, then Palanga has you covered.

Beautiful Baltic seaside resort city.
Beautiful Baltic seaside resort city. Town center is very cosy, compact and walkable. Lots of small shops and restaurants on the way to the beach. Great coniferous forest park area with walking trails along the seaside. Sandy beach is clean and can be accessed from all parts of the city. The pier and observation wheel definitely worth visiting. Not far away from the Dutchman's hat, but it worth taking the car or bike. Crowdy in the summer and peaceful throughout the rest of the year.

i have been going to palanga for 16 years there as not been much don to inferstukcher it lacks railway statin pavments are full of holes dont know what they spend pillow tax on .the main street to beach has not changed in 16 years . i would not eat food on that street as the cooks are not chefs . i would go to hotel to eat its ok for a drink in the many bars on that street . i wold not go in the summer as you want get on the beach . and another think its cheaper to go to spain as wee do but after september its ok .mots of the hotels are very tide now as they do not replace the old furnishings with new. as i have trid most of the hotels over the 16 years as my partner is lithuanian and i fly from uk evry mouth as she works ther and me in uk.
It's a cosy and well-planned apartment that has everything you need for a holiday. The beds were soft and comfy, we had good night's sleep after spending days outside. The apartment has a nice terrace that is great addition for warm summer mornings and evenings. Also there is a separate little space for arranging BBQs and meeting up with friends. The location of the apartment is great - close to the beach and the main streets of Palanga.
We stayed in a renovated room with balcony. The room was spacious and in very good shape, the bathroom was excellent and very modern.
The location of the hotel is very nice, next to the Botanical Garden. Not very close to the center of Palanga, but it depends at what locations one wants to spend time.
We came with our dog, and food- and water-bowls, and a sleeping mat were waiting for us in the room - a very nice touch.
The property is simple and convenient and spacious enough. The location is a less-trodden part of Palanga, and has a different flavour: more wildlife activity, sparser beaches, remains of old horse barns, ponds etc. - some derelict, some still in use, old tree alleys etc. The kids enjoyed horse-watching on the way to the beach. At the same time, it is quite close to the city centre by car or a bike.
The location is perfect-central, with lots of eateries around and the sea just 10-15 minutes away. The apartment was quite spacious, with the balcony, the beds -super comfy. The aparthotel has 2 parkings -one outside in front of the hotel and another -in the garage (3 eu per night! during our stay). A swimming pool is another pro, especially in the shoulder seasons. The breakfast was good.
as close as possible to the sea (in Lithuania a pine forest separates beach from first line buildings, so you can not expect a hotel straight on a beach). perfect with children as you can choose lunch and dinner buffet. spa and pool makes it excellent on cloudy days. all levels staff were extremely polite with the guests, always smiling and wishing a nice stay
Child-friendly gated community.
Very quiet environment.
Very close to the path to the beach.
Within 10 minutes walk of the shops.
Within 5 minutes walk of a good quality restaurant
Plenty of clothes storage space.
Sufficient equipment for the 4-ring induction cooker.
Two toilets, one upstairs and one down.
Parking space for two cars
Cozy and cute apartment. This is not a flat or part of the house. Looks like host built some garage and then reconstructed it into “hotel”. But all facilities are good, enough space, cozy balcony.
Very good location. Close to the forest and to the main pedestrian street. 5 minutes to the beach.
The host is very friendly and enthusiastic.
The apartment is spacious and modern and provided a parking spot (not unimportant in a bustling beach resort town).
The location is fantastic: straight onto the beach and a short walk to the boulevard.
Highly enjoyed the stay here!
The room was wonderful with plenty of space for our group. The location is excellent, taking only a couple of minutes to reach the beach or the main strip. The hosts were very accommodating and took their time in ensuring our parking and room were taken care of.
This hotel is near a park so the environment is lovely. The apartment was clean and very spacious. We enjoyed the balcony and the living room area. Breakfast was okay - a few options, so I chose what I prefer, but nothing special.
We stayed in villa which is located in the kind of village park. Villas are surrounded by little pines which is beautiful. It was warm inside despite of winter, the room was spacious. SPA house is good enough with lots of pools.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. We liked spa procedures and yes we highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Palanga.
Nice, newly renovated hotel. Spacious and clean bathroom, mini kitchenette in the room, mini bar, comfortable beds and nice interior. Friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel was kind enough to let us park our car free of charge due to different room we got. Deluxe room photos on booking.com were different to actual room.
